Kiran Kumar – Dean(Sports)

Sports is an integral part of team building. Sports creates team spirit, healthy aggression, buries any inequalities, and creates a healthy mind & body, thereby a healthy organisation. At Guru & Jana sports brings all the teams together, and creates peace.

A hockey match or a cricket match brings a billion people together. With this as an important element in our lives, Guru & Jana has a Sports Dean. Kiran is one of the founder members. As the Sports Dean, he propels the firm to several sporting encounters & engagements.

Veeresh Kandgol – Practice Leader

A Chartered Accountant and a Bachelor of Law. He is also a qualified Information System Auditor. His specialization is in Indirect Taxes in India and in UAE. His proficiency in Indirect tax laws has facilitated him in providing Consultancy Services, Assessments and He appears before the Appellate Authorities upto CESTAT.
He heads the Indirect Tax Team in the firm. His guidance has shaped up the team to be a sought after service provider for compliances and litigation across the clientele. His experience of over a decade in the profession gives him the edge to provide consultancy to clients on Indirect tax implications in business and in transaction advisory.
He has also worked with UAE clients for VAT impact study, implementation and consultancy in Dubai.

Siddanna Biradar – Practice Leader

“Siddu” as he is fondly called, is a Chartered Accountant and a Bachelor of Business Management. He is a Tax specialist. He handles both Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes with ease. His unique expertise is in the drafting skills for litigation and also representations before the tax authorities. Whether it is Scrutiny assessments and Tribunal appeals in Direct taxes or Audits and Appeals under the Indirect taxes, he does it all.

His exemplary knowledge in UAE VAT law gives the firm a niche in its VAT services to clients in UAE. He is a profound speaker on the subject of taxes and has been instrumental in designing the training programmes in office and in corporate trainings.

His decade long experience in the field of taxation and his service delivery has given him accolades from the clients and by co-professionals.

Gopalakrishnan – Practice Leader

A Chartered Accountant with bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. Gopal has varied experiences across Industries, Construction, Services, Manufacturing. His skill set in implementing systems and process and his quick understanding of the environment has enabled him to create a niche in the accounting profession.

He heads the Corporate Outsourcing Team specializing in accounting for Start-Ups. His experience coupled with his communication skills has enabled him to understand and implement accounting systems and processes in various start-up companies.

Gopal Says “Either don’t do it or do it with Devotion, nothing in between.”

Sridhar – Practice Leader

Sridhar is a Bachelor of commerce and a Chartered Accountant. He is a qualified Diploma in International taxation under the vices of ICAI. He is specialised in International Taxation and Transfer Pricing. He is a co-author of the Book on International Taxation and Transfer Pricing published by Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association. His acute knowledge in Tax treaties, BEPS, Multi-Lateral Instruments, Permanent Establishment, Transfer Pricing and other International tax matters gives him the opportunity to work in the niche area of International Taxation.

His forte pervades Transfer Pricing Agreements, TP Strategy, TP assessments and TP litigation. He heads a team which is engaged in handling Transfer Pricing assignments, foreign remittance certification and filing (i.e., Form 15CB/15CA).

Amongst his acumen in tax knowledge, his work is based on an organised Process and Systems which he views atop individual performance.
